From 21 to 23 September, two sports enthusiasts from Jonker & Schut will cycle together with 8 others from Paris to Barneveld. They will be supported by team leader Marty van Lagen. Why they do this? To support the Children's Hospice in Barneveld.
Every child needs the best care, especially if they are seriously ill! Kinderhospice Binnenveld in Barneveld provides 24-hour nursing care and guidance to seriously and terminally ill children. In addition to 24-hour intensive care, the children's hospice also provides day care for children aged 0-18. The average age of the children is 5 years old. All children have an intensive and complex medical care demand that requires continuous nursing care.
The starting point of the children's hospice is that although the children are seriously ill, there is still a lot that can be done. That is why the nurses work closely with pedagogical staff. Because how a child feels affects what the child can do. And if a child can develop him-/herself and is challenged, he or she will feel much better. The team is supported by about 80 volunteers. They do all kinds of services and make sure it's fun.
‘’Together they form a 'safe home' for seriously ill children. A home in which professionalism and ordinary-day-life go together’’ says Kinderhospice Binnenveld.

3 colleagues, Gert Weijland, Marty van Lagen and Arjo Slotboom, will cycle from Paris back to Barneveld together with 8 other cyclists. They do this in 3 days! That is quite a bike ride for which they want to collect as much money as possible.
